A Saturday visitor

On Saturday Nacho had a very special visitor come up to see him at the show site in North Carolina where he won Breed 4 out of 5 days. On Friday he won Best of Opposite Sex. He got to relish in his wins with his co-breeder, Al Batchelor (pictured above) and his wife, Diane. Al and Diane got to spend a lot of quality time with the Sire of their current litter on the ground. He remarked on how much of a goofball Nacho truly is and was very impressed with how beautifully he is maturing. Diane also commented on how much Nacho reminded them of his Sire, Rudy. Below are some photos they took.

Al's last words were, "When I left Nacho, I was in the BEST mood", to which I replied, "Yup, Nacho does that to ya!"

Nacho X Tabitha Pups

It's been a while since I've posted photos of Nacho's babies out of "TruGrit's Tabitha." My all time favorite puppy photo is of a Nacho daughter from this litter. Pictured above at 3 weeks.....doesn't she look like a little bear cub??? And some pictures of the pups below at 5 weeks.

Nacho wins another Award of Merit!

On March 19th, Nacho showed at the Bullmastiff Specialty in York, PA where he won a very nice Award of Merit, under Judge Mr. William Sahloff. There were 50 Bullmastiffs entered and only three Award of Merits were given. Nacho was the proud receiver of one of them. Below are photos from the Breed ring the following day.

Just a little showing off

Just showing off some beautiful photos of Nacho's lovely daughter
Alys, "Bullmax Fleur de Lys", out of Dyna, "Bullmax FXD Full Chrome."

We are all very pleased with how nicely this girl is holding together. A future star in the making; at a Sanction match in Quebec City, she won BOB and took a group 3!!! All owner handled by breeder of this litter, Nicole Miron.

Keep an eye out for this beauty, and some of her other littermates, who will be strutting their stuff in a conformation ring this year.

With springtime, comes a special breeding

We were very impressed with Nacho's first litter out of Dyna, "Bullmax FXD Full Chrome." Breeder, Nicole Miron, was also so pleased with what Nacho contributed to her Bullmax breeding program, that she's planned a breeding this Spring out of Nacho and Dyna's dam, Lulu, "Can CH Bullmax Fanfreluche CD, RA"

Lulu has beautifully balanced conformation, clean movement with good reach and drive, a nice topline and a gorgeous head piece with a wide and very slightly undershot bite.

Lovely puppies with excellent breed type, middle of the Canadian standard, correct conformation with excellent movement, gorgeous headpieces and rock solid temperaments are anticipated. Brindle, red and red fawn puppies expected.

A funny photo :)

Nacho has consistently thrown many of his notable qualities into his get. All of his puppies have correct conformation; short backs, level top lines, beautiful angles and stunning heads with tons of pigment. And of course, all of his offspring sport that super sweet and GOOFY temperament which Nacho is known for.

Above are two of Nacho's daughters, "Bullmax Fleur de Lys", Alys- The SQUISHED... and Austin- The SQUISHEE!

Nacho at Home

It's not often that Nacho spends quality time off at home, during his Campaigning season. But when he's home, what a JOY he brings to our lives!

Nacho & Clara

Nacho & Clara being goofy!

Mia giving her Papa a kiss <3

The following is an excerpt from Nacho's brochure we passed out at the Garden. Beside various photos of him, we broke down the text into segments, "Nacho the Show Dog", "Nacho the Producer", etc. Here is, "Nacho at Home":

Since the age of 10 weeks old, Nacho has been the beacon of our household. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t laugh, several times throughout the day, at something funny that Nacho does. The funniest part is that he comes naturally equipped with this goofy “life is good” youthful spirit. His passion and zest for the show ring is quite evident and his affinity to work is one of the things that make him an exceptional “stand out” dog in the conformation and Group rings. However, when at home, he is just as content lying by our feet, leaning up against our legs, or trying to get onto our laps so he could be eye to eye, as if trying to gauge our emotions. Nacho unconditionally gives with all that he has. His eyes don’t just indicate a natural guarding devotion and love but contain a softness which shows he is, “IN Love.” At home, Nacho is one spoiled boy but is thankful for all he has and never takes advantage. He absolutely adores every person, child, dog, and other animals that he meets. With beauty and brains, we don’t call him “The Whole Enchilada” for nothing!

Nacho is a proud Papa once again!

On February 19, 2011, Nacho became the proud Sire of 6 gorgeous chunky babies, 4 boys and 2 girls, out of "TruGrit's Tabitha."

This litter was bred by Al Batchelor of TruGrit Bullmastiffs.

And on February 26th, 2011, Nacho became the proud Papa again, of 4 HUGE beautiful, healthy babies! 2 Boys and 2 Girls out of "TruGrit's Cookie Monster."

This litter was bred by Al Batchelor, TruGrit Bullmastiffs and Emi Gonzalez, B'mew Bullmastiffs.

A Video of Nacho at the Garden!

Mr. Popularity!

Nacho's face is quickly becoming one of the most popular Bullmastiff headpieces in America. Not only admired by friends, fans, and fanciers in the US, but also becoming a very sought after stud dog in other parts of the world.

In preparation for the Garden, we made this "campaigning box" with give-aways to interested spectators at the benching area...

Filled with informative Nacho brochures lovingly made by his mom...and stickers & buttons created by Ribit Design and made by Screen Tek, North Haven, CT.

When home or away, Nacho always seems to think EVERYONE is his friend and that EVERY visitor has come to see him, ONLY...and oftentimes, they do!

Here he is giving a BIG hug to his Uncle-in-Law, Mark, a postal carrier...There's no nipping this mailman's ankles! ;0)

Nacho can never seem to get close enough!
When at home, Nacho has more appointments, and people that want to stop by and see him than I do!

Nacho is also a HUGE fan of the ladies in his life...especially the furry ones he lives with. Here he is with his niece, "B'mew Sugar Plum Fairy", Clara.

And his daughter, "B'mew N Bullmax Mi Casa S Mia Casa", Mia.

These pups just ADORE Nacho!!! And the feeling is mutual <3

And here he is guarding the cats and kittens at Petsmart...Although I think he liked them more than they liked him ;0) But he sure was a HUGE crowd pleaser with everyone else in the store, and their pets. He always is when we're out...and usually get, "WOW! That is THE MOST gorgeous dog I have EVER seen!

So yes, Nacho is becoming quite popular with many people from all walks of life. Above is a group of children from South Mountain Middle School in Allentown, PA. They learned all about Nacho and how he was making a trip to the Garden last month. Here they are, proudly holding up their Nacho buttons! How cute!

So if you ever run into Nacho at a show or something, go up to him and give him a BIG hug!
